This building block houses 4 family houses oriented to the square on the south. These houses are built half a floor above the square, thus creating elevated terraces along the south and partly below-ground carports along the north. The elevated terraces ensure the necessary privacy towards the square and enable the easy application of the principle of underground pipes for ventilation. On the ground floor (1.5m above the square's zero level) the living area, kitchen and a storage room are situated. The first floor holds 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a second storage room. The large glass panels extending over two floors feature the view along the square side and are integrated in the ventilation system. The exploded facade is optimal to enable enjoying the light and warmth of the sun.
